About RYLA

The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards programme, better known as RYLA, is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where young people can develop leadership skills while having fun and making connections.

RYLA is a transformative event designed to empower young people with the skills, confidence, and vision needed to lead effectively and ethically. Through interactive workshops, group activities, and engaging speakers, participants learn essential skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

This year, our special focus is “Leading for Peace,” emphasising conflict resolution, inclusivity, and promoting understanding across diverse communities.

Who can participate?

Rotary’s Zone 14 RYLA is open to those residents of Italy, Malta or San Marino between the ages of 20 and 30. As the event will be held in English, they must be competent in understanding and speaking English well.

Why Lead for Peace?

The theme of this year’s RYLA is Leading for Peace.

The world needs compassionate leaders who can bridge divides, foster collaboration, and inspire peaceful solutions. At RYLA, you’ll have the opportunity to explore practical ways to build peace in your community by gaining insights into topics like conflict resolution, intercultural communication, and emotional intelligence. These skills are not only vital for today’s global challenges but are also invaluable for personal growth and career success.

Be the Change. Lead for Peace.

This is your chance to make a real difference. Join us at RYLA 14-2025 and become part of a global movement of young leaders working toward a more peaceful, inclusive world. Together, we can build a brighter future—one that’s rooted in understanding, compassion, and shared purpose.
